TIME TO MOVE ON

Marty Craggs has decided to leave Lindisfarne and his last performance with the band will be on 3rd June at the Walker Millenium Festival.
Although we are sorry to see him go, it is not a complete surprise as he mentioned some time ago that he was thinking of leaving.  On behalf of Lindisfarne members past and present I would like to wish him well for the future and thank him for helping to keep the Lindisfarne Beacon Burning.

Marty has issued a statement  which reads;

TIME TO MOVE ON

After sixteen years with Lindisfarne the time has come to say goodbye. I consider myself to be a very lucky chap, I have been all over the world with the band, had some good times, great gigs, and made some real good friends along the way.  Sadly, I also lost a real good friend, James Alan Hull, the best singer songwriter I have ever worked with, a fine fellow, still miss the old git !!

Immediate plans- potter around the garden, play some golf, chill out in the village pub for a while.

Future plans- to carry on playing, anybody need vocals, saxes, flute, harmonica, whistle, and accordion? I'm open to offers.

The thing I will miss most are the Lindisfarne fans, thank you for your support and just always being there for the band, you're the best, hope we meet up again someday.

Well I guess that's it, thank you Lindisfarne for some very happy years, so goodbye, good luck, good health, and all the very best for the future.

Time to move on.

Cheers

        Marty Craggs.
