Mowbray Road South Shields boasts the impressive New Crown Hotel and on 23rd. August 1983 Alan Hull played there live. This CD gives a flavour of that evenings performance no new tracks this time, so no great surprises!

The show kicks off with O No, Not Again which Alan explains is actually a song about hangovers! The Margitte song Peter Brophy follows, then Poor Old Ireland. One More Bottle Of Wine from the Squire album precedes two tracks from his new LP On The Other Side Fly Away and Malvinas Melody - the forthcoming single release which Alan readily admits (rightly) will get absolutely no airplay from the BBC.

Two classics from the first Lindisfarne album Lady Eleanor and January Song, then three lifted from Back & Fourth Make Me Want To Stay, Run For Home, and Marshall Rileys Army. Passing Ghosts is then introduced by Alan as Passing Wind! The last song on the setlist is January Song, but this is encored with Country Gentlemans Wife, now accompanied by the audience! Alan characteristically emphasising the first syllable of country. The audience call for yet more; it has to be the finale with Fog On The Tyne.

As previously mentioned not an earth shattering performance, but a good balance of songs from original line-up Lindisfarnes first four albums sprinkled with some nice A.H. solo tracks.
