Here comes the Neighbourhood

Introduction

Lindisfarne are back. Back with their first studio recording since "Elvis Lives On The Moon" in 1993, apart from the "Blues From The Bothy" 4-tracks EP, released last year. And "Thank God", they did not try to stay the same they were as with Alan Hull. The new songs are starting there, where the atmosphere of "Untapped & Acoustic" ended. It is a very soft and quiet record. The eleven songs were recorded in Ardgour, Scotland, but not near the border or in a "big" city. Ardgour is located about 35 miles from Fort William and nor far away from Ardnamurchan, another little village which gave its name to the Dave Denholm instrumental from "Blues From The Bothy".

Park Records, publisher of this new CD, describe the contents as: "Lindisfarne's first album without co-founder Alan Hull. Now the new writing partnership of Rod Clements and Nigel Stonier brings the music full circle, as slide guitar and harmonica blend with whistle, accordian and banjo. A triumph."
