The Finest Hour of Lindisfarne is more than a convenient title. It is a fond reminder of the days when Lindisfarne were the ultimate "peoples band" squelching through the mud at Weeley in 1972 to bring cheer to all the lost souls who braved the atrocious weather. ( and so on ). But even this is by far no so bad as the (very free) german translation on the rear side. It's pure rubbish. To say that after a very successful USA-tour they rather split than to accept a compromise in folk-rock is far, far away from the truth.
